The job at hand was to modernize an outdated facility to better suit the needs of today’s community college students. The work included remodeling of admin offices, a kitchen with a serving line, dining area, conference/meeting rooms and a multi-purpose room(s) which can be easily modified into as many as 3 smaller rooms. The building, in addition to the apparent functions, is used for studying, student extracurricular activities and simple relaxation. A domed area with special effect lighting is best suited for the later. The project was built in phases; the biggest challenge was maintaining all of the college’s operations during construction.
